Οι Φινλανδοί πρωτοπόροι WOLFHEART , οι Βασιλείς του Βορρά, έχουν αποδείξει ότι είναι ένα από τα πιο συναρπαστικά και φρέσκα metal acts της βόρειας κληρονομιάς και ένα από τα ταχύτερα ανερχόμενα συγκροτήματα στη διεθνή μελωδική death metal σκηνή.

Κατά τη διάρκεια των τελευταίων ετών, η μπάντα παρέμεινε αμείλικτη με την κυκλοφορία του Wolves of Karelia (2020) και Skull Soldiers EP (2021), κερδίζοντας επαίνους από τους οπαδούς και τον Τύπο με τις παγωμένες ιστορίες τους για μάχη και θρίαμβο.

Το τελευταίο άλμπουμ, King Of The North (κυκλοφόρησε στις 16 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022 μέσω της Napalm Records), συνεχίζει ακριβώς εκεί που σταμάτησαν οι WOLFHEART.

Κάθε τραγούδι του King Of The North είναι αφιερωμένο σε μια διαφορετική ιστορία της Φινλανδικής μυθολογίας.

Το “Ancestor”, με τον Jesse Leach των Killswitch Engage, είναι ίσως, ο κορυφαίος ύμνος του άλμπουμ.

Ο “Βασιλιάς” προχωράει, λέγοντας την ιστορία του θεού του δάσους με πιάνο που συνοδεύουν βαριά riffs και σόλο, πριν αυξήσει τα επίπεδα ενέργειας για άλλη μια φορά στο αμείλικτο “Cold Flame” με τον Karl Sanders του θρυλικού extreme metal συγκροτήματος Nile.

Το King Of The North είναι ένα πραγματικό αριστούργημα του μελωδικού death metal, φτιαγμένο με πολλή προσοχή στις λεπτομέρειες και μια περίπλοκη μυθολογική αφήγηση – παρουσιάζοντας τους WOLFHEART σε καλλιτεχνικά επίπεδα που δεν είχαν ακουστεί ποτέ πριν!

Τα υπόλοιπα από κοντά…. ίσως στην καλύτερη και ανερχόμενη στιγμή της καριέρας τους.

Οι Desert Near The End πάντα θεωρούσαν τους εαυτούς τους ως έναν κρίκο που λείπει μεταξύ του παρελθόντος και του παρόντος της metal μουσικής.

Το συγκρότημα ξεκίνησε τις μηχανές του το 2009 στην Αθήνα, όταν ο μπασίστας/τραγουδοποιός Άκης και ο τραγουδιστής Αλέξανδρος αποφάσισαν να αφήσουν στην άκρη όλα τα άλλα έργα και να ενώσουν τις δυνάμεις τους σε κάτι που θα συνδύαζε τις κοινές τους διαδρομές με όλες τις επιρροές που συγκέντρωσαν όλα αυτά τα χρόνια ως φαν του Metal και έδωαν μια πιο ακραία προσέγγιση στο είδος Power/Thrash, που κατά κάποιον τρόπο είχε χάσει τα όρια του από αυτό.

Το μουσικό ηχητικό τοπίο της μπάντας συνδυάζει τον ήχο και την αγριότητα του Extreme Metal με τη μελωδία και την επικότητα του Power metal. Είναι ένα αμάλγαμα Power/Thrash σκαλισμένο με εργαλεία Death/Black

Over the course of the years alone, the band has remained relentless with the release of their highly acclaimed full-length, Wolves of Karelia (2020) and Skull Soldiers EP (2021), gaining massive praise from fans and press alike with their icy tales of battle and triumph.

The new album, King Of The North (out September 16, 2022 via Napalm Records), picks up right where WOLFHEART left off – taking every aspect of their trademark sound of colossal melodies, growling vocals and driving drum rhythms to searing new levels.

Desert Near The End always thought of themselves as a missing link between the Past and the Present of Metal Music.

The band started its engines back in 2009 in Athens Greece, when bassist/songwriter Akis and vocalist Alexandros decided to put aside all other projects and join forces into something that would combine their mutual routes with all the influences they gathered over the years as Metal fans and give a more extreme approach to the Power/Thrash genre, which somehow had lost its edge by that me.

The musical soundscape of the band combines the wall of sound and the ferocity of Extreme Metal with the melody and epicness of Power metal. It’s a Power/Thrash amalgam carved with Death/Black tools.
